WHL Egypt was founded by Raed Elkabbany, whose zeal for travel and love of country led him to establish the company and assemble the passionate and service oriented team who make up WHL Egypt today. Raed spent a significant portion of his life in Egypt and quickly fell in love with the opportunities for travel in Egypt. Meeting and interacting with diverse people placed him on the path to become an Egyptologist tour guide, which he's taken up since 1987. The team is led by Sherif Abd Elwahab, an educator and expert in tourism since 1987, who works tirelessly to ensure your trip to Egypt will be an affordable, personalised and once in a lifetime experience.

Sustainability
Our main areas of interest in sustainable tourism are socio-economic and cultural. In each destination we train and employ local staff, use local suppliers for transportation among other services and donate a part of our profit to local organisations that help preserve Egyptian culture. We do our best to educate travellers about the customs in each local destination we visit in order to avoid any negative social impact. In bigger cities we care about the welfare of people by supporting local organisations and in Cairo we also support the welfare of animals.
